Please mention!
As the early 90's grunge scene gave way to the excited but mentally desiccating era of Maroon 5, Albania Mania was forced by alcoholism and pregnancy to disband and freak out. The sons and daughters of Albania Mania's forceful and depraved march through the south inherited the spoils. Some weather-beaten juggling clubs, a torn frock, crooks and shanks, strings and bellows; as well as the stilted and dangerous mentality of their forebears. As they grew, they learned to forge connections between the assorted detritus of their ancestor's sex-crazed heyday. A juggling club, for instance, can be used as a mortar and pestle, yes, but it can also be used to entertain couples who are strung out on coffee but bored with shopping. From these desperate conjunctions of a gravely scattered history the youths found in each other hope and companionship. With avid passion for the impossible, they took to three of the four corners of this folding world power, in hopes that when the time arrived, they would be there, at the fringes, ready to reunite. And so they wait: The Black Death All Stars, The Petrojvic Blasting Co. and The Women of the Future, like broken shards of a once exquisite diamond. ---Max Benkelman
